British Professional College Awarded Licence to Deliver University of London BSc Professional Accountancy Programme

Kathmandu, Nepal – British Professional College (BPC), a part of the British Education Group (BEG), has been granted the licence as a Recognised Teaching Centre (RTC) to deliver the University of London BSc Professional Accountancy programme. This latest recognition marks another significant milestone in BPC's commitment to providing world-class education and expanding access to globally recognised qualifications in Nepal.

Designed exclusively for students, affiliates, and members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the BSc Professional Accountancy offers a dual advantage: students earn a prestigious University of London degree while progressing in their ACCA journey, adding two globally respected institutions to their CV. The programme can be completed in as little as 12 months, with credit given for existing ACCA passes, offering exceptional value through affordable fees and the flexibility to study without pausing one's career.

Students now have the opportunity to earn this prestigious bachelor's degree while studying in Nepal, with the option of face-to-face tuition support at BPC as a Recognised Teaching Centre, or through independent online study. The programme comprises three modules: Financial Management (30 credits), Performance Management (30 credits), and a Project module (60 credits), equipping graduates with advanced knowledge in financial decision-making, performance evaluation, and independent research skills.

Crucially, completing the Financial Management and Performance Management modules provides students with exemptions against ACCA exams - applied at no additional cost - supporting their advancement to membership of a globally recognised professional accountancy body with over 252,500 members and 526,000 future members in 180 countries. The programme also offers students access to an AI study assistant - the first University of London degree to offer programme-wide AI-supported learning - available 24 hours a day to clarify concepts, test understanding, and support study planning.

This new recognition further strengthens BPC's longstanding partnership with the University of London. Having already been recognised to deliver the MSc Professional Accountancy, BPC is the only Recognised Teaching Centre (RTC) in South Asia authorised to deliver both the BSc and MSc Professional Accountancy programmes offered by the University of London. The University of London, founded in 1836, is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the UK, with more than 40,000 students from over 190 countries studying more than 100 degrees, diplomas and certificates.

Dipendra K Shrestha, Head of Professional Education at the British Education Group, commented on the achievement:

"This licence is a pivotal moment for BPC and for ambitious students in Nepal. It underscores our unwavering commitment to bridging the gap between local aspirations and global standards. By offering both the BSc and MSc Professional Accountancy, we are creating a unique academic ecosystem where students can achieve a world-class University of London degree - directed by UCL - alongside ACCA professional credentials, all within one institution. The integrated ACCA pathway, the flexibility to complete the degree in as little as one year, and access to innovative AI-supported learning make this programme truly transformative. Our graduates will emerge not just academically qualified, but professionally ready to lead on the global stage."

The expanded portfolio creates a unique academic pathway for students, allowing them to complete a globally recognised bachelor's degree, progress to a master's qualification, and pursue the ACCA professional qualification - all within a single institution. As an ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner, BPC is uniquely positioned to provide an integrated learning experience that supports both academic achievement and professional success.

Founded in 2011, British Professional College has established itself as one of Nepal's leading providers of international higher education. Through partnerships with renowned UK institutions and a blend of experienced UK and local faculty, BPC delivers an international learning experience that prepares students for successful careers both in Nepal and across the world.

The addition of the University of London BSc Professional Accountancy programme reinforces BPC's mission of empowering students through globally recognised education, industry-focused learning, and qualifications that are valued by employers worldwide.
