A total of eighteen BBM, BBA and BBS students of DAV College, Bhanimandal, Lalitpur, demonstrated their thrilling performances at 18th International Youth Festival in Jaipur, Rajasthan on 5th and 6th April, 2023.

DAV College, overall won the third position from eleven different categories. The 18th International Youth Festival ‘Ghoomar’ was organised by University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, India.

Around 60 Universities across the India enthusiastically participated in the youth festival and presented their brilliant skills and talents together.

To make DAV stand in the third position, Pramila Pokhrel, a BBA student, won the Miss Ghomar Title. Similarly, Pranita Shrestha, a BBS student, won Miss Talent Title. Juhi Adhikari won the first position in poem competition. Ritik Jaiswal, a BBA Student won the second position in singing competition and Nimisha Shakya won the second position in the on the spot painting competition.

Apart from these activities, a team of 11 students participated in cultural dance competition and won the third position.

In addition, DAV students also participated in English Essay writing, Debate, Painting, Cartooning, and Mehendi Art competitions in the presence of huge galaxies of intellectuals and delegates from various parts of the world.

The students were taken to Jaipur by College Faculty members, Mr. Madhav Adhikari and Mr. Bishnu Giri.

According to DAV College, Bhanimandal, Lalitpur, the performance of DAV College students in such forum on this scale was awaited since long ago. The College family is immensely delighted as students have achieved what they deserved for.

In addition, DAV College has been successfully able to add a feather in its cap by redefining 18th International Youth Festival as a Nepal-India Educational and Cultural Exchange Programme by demonstrating rich cultural heritage of Nepal in academic as well as in public level.

The University of Rajasthan is organising International Youth Festival every year in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
