Finance Minister Barsa Man Pun did not announce an increase in teacher salaries and benefits in his budget speech for the fiscal year 2081/82 (2024/2025), which was delivered to a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Jestha 15, 2081 (i.e., May 28, 2024).

As a result, there has been no change in the salary scale of Nepalese government employees including Government Teachers for the current fiscal year. The last time the government revised employee salary scales was on July 1, 2079 , when it presented the budget for fiscal year 2079-80.  Finance Minister presented the budget for fiscal year 2079/80 to parliament, increasing the salaries of government officials by 15%.

Following the pay increase for government officials, the same salary scale that became effective in Shawan 2079 will be implemented in fiscal year 2081/82.

The salaries of first-class, second-class, and third-class secondary teachers have been maintained at 68,145, 61,737, and 55,337 rupees, respectively. Furthermore, the monthly wages for first-, second-, and third-class teachers at the lower secondary level are 58 thousand 94, 55 thousand 337, and 43 thousand 994 rupees, respectively. Furthermore, the primary level first-grade teacher's pay has been maintained at 55 thousand 337 rupees, the second-grade teacher's pay has been maintained at 43 thousand 994 rupees, and the third-grade teacher's pay has been maintained at 49 thousand 484 rupees.

This salary scale is essential for understanding the financial aspects of teaching in Nepal in 20810 BS. It reflects the government's commitment to recognizing educators' dedication and expertise by paying them competitive salaries. Teachers can gain insight into their potential earnings in their respective roles by considering factors such as position, qualification, and grade rate. The pay scale, which applies to community schools, sets standards for the entire education industry and paves the way for a more equitable environment.
