About DV Lottery
The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program awards up to 50,000 individuals per year a visa for a green card, which bestows permanent residency in the US and is a path to citizenship.

This Diversity visa allows winners and their families to live, work, and study permanently in the United States.

Visas are awarded by random selection in select countries to promote immigration from places that don’t otherwise send many immigrants to the US.

The DV-2026 registration period opened on October 2, 2024, and closed on November 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM EST.

The results for the DV-2026 lottery has been published at noon (EDT) on May 3, 2025  (Baisakh 20, 2082).

How to Check DV-2026 Result ?
Checking your DV Lottery result is a simple process. The only method of determining whether you were selected for the DV is by entering your confirmation number on official website of U.S. Department of State at https://dvprogram.state.gov/ on or after May 3, 2025 (Baisakh 20, 2082).

Make sure to keep your confirmation number until at least September 30, 2026, as it is the only way to check your status.
